About Us

Mysa is a new family floristry business based in the little village of Heswall, overlooking the River Dee to the beautiful welsh mountains of Snowdonia.

All the bouquets featured in the Mysa collection are preserved using a glycerine preservation technique. This special preservation treatment replaces the plant's sap with a plant-based glycerine, helping to freeze the cell structure of the plant and maintaining the plant’s natural shape, beauty and colour for many months, if not years.

We are super passionate about this preservation technique. We really believe that glycerine preservation is the future of dried flowers. We find that glycerine preserved flowers not only last so much longer than dried flowers, but also smell and feel better too. As a bonus, research shows that glycerine preservation requires far less energy than air or heat drying plants, meaning Mysa bouquets are much better for the environment.

The bouquets in the Mysa collection have been designed and created by Nicola (me!), who has over 15 years of floristry experience, working in a variety of both local and national floristry businesses.

The inspiration for each of the bouquets comes from all around us. This includes walks through the local countryside (The Inger), discussing flower trends with friends (The Monika) and even special requests from our customers (The Sunniva).

We aim to add more bouquets to our collection as we grow, however, if you have any specific bouquets ideas in mind, feel free to message us. We will always do our best to accommodate any requests and are open to new ideas.
